Mission Impossible – Madrid edition

Hello, there!
Hope you are all excited about this new year that is about to begin! I certainly am! 2016 was harsh; we lost many talented souls and the world has been through a lot of violence… this is why I am hopeful for what´s coming next!
This post is actually a help request lol. Continue reading “Mission Impossible – Madrid edition”

PsychoAnalysis, by V.R. Stone

Hello, there!

Hope you all had a great great greaaaat Christmas holiday with a lot of fun with your loved ones!

I received a copy of PsychoAnalysis (written by V.R. Stone) from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first time I read a thriller with a woman as a serial killer, and I must say I was surprised by her strength, her determination and intelligence. Not only Sarah is a psycho killer, but she is also a financial market professional – what is a very curious connection in my opinion.

I appreciate deep characters, and V.R. Stone constructed Sarah in a way that leaves the reader breathless with all her motives, triggers and insights. In parallel, Martin is also a complex character, and here I think the book could explore more; although I confess I was surprised with him in the end, it was indeed a bit predictive.

Also, regarding Cook and Phil, I felt like they could have had a greater role in the story, as well as the psychiatrist that was not explored enough, in my opinion, regarding his personal issues.

Despite the above, this book was definitely a page turner for me; getting under the thick skin of Sarah Silver was a very strong experience, and I highly recommend it for those who love a deep and intriguing plot.

See you on the next ride!
